Job Description

Summary:

Accuray is looking for a Clinical Training Instructor to join our growing and dynamic organization. Employees in this role focus on educating clinical users to increase their confidence and adoption of Accuray Products. This role will be remote, but the chosen candidate will be expected to travel to the Accuray Center for Education in Madison, WI for all in-person training classes.

Reports to the Manager of Clinical Training in the Training Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Train customers on the safe and technical operation of the Accuray Precision Treatment Planning System

  • Conduct multiple day training classes - These classes may consist of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises either remotely or at the Accuray Center for Education

  • Create, develop, and review classroom Training materials to support new and existing users

  • Partner with cross-functional groups to provide user insight into product development and marketing materials

  • Participate in projects as necessary to meet departmental objectives

  • Leverage academic and clinical expertise to assist users in understanding advanced concepts pertaining to use of Accuray technologies

  • Maintain professional contact with peers through attendance at professional meetings and related activities

  • Participates in and may present at trades shows, exhibits and symposia

Qualifications:

a. Required:

  • Previous experience in Radiation Oncology; preferably as a Medical Dosimetrist

  • Clinical understanding of the processes in a medical and/or radiation oncology department

  • Must be highly organized and possess excellent verbal/written communication, time management and presentation skills

  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and ability to take initiative in development and completion of projects with deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work well with a wide range of people with diverse cultural background, and clinical specialties

  • Candidates must be customer and patient focused, drive operational excellence, build trusting relationships, and work with a sense of urgency

  • Some travel required to support professional development within the role

  • Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative

  • Enthusiastic learner who is eager to meet challenges and quickly assimilate new concepts

  • 25% - 50% travel required to Accuray Incorporated (Madison, WI)

b. Preferred or Desired:

  • Accuray Product experience. (Although preferred, clinical radiotherapy experience specific to Accuray systems is not required. Product training will be provided as necessary)

  • 3-5 years of experience in training/education in industry or academic environments preferred, will train for those with applicable clinical experience

  • Technical or Associates Degree or Higher preferred, equivalent scientific experience acceptable

  • Cross-cultural communication skills a plus

  • Additional domestic or international travel may be necessary
