Brown and Caldwell is looking for a mid-level Professional Engineer or Geologist to join the Remediation Department within our Site Investigation, Remediation and Solid Waste Service Line. The successful candidate will work on a broad spectrum of projects ranging from conducting and managing environmental site assessments, completing remedial technology/alternatives evaluations, developing conceptual remedial designs and work plans, implementing remediation technologies, and technical reporting.This is an exciting opportunity to work in a growth-oriented professional consulting firm with multiple offices throughout the U.S.The candidate will work with national subject matter experts and client service teams in addition to working with and mentoring junior level staff on various remediation projects. Brown and Caldwell's Irvine, California office has an exciting opportunity for a mid-level Professional Engineer or Geologist to join the Remediation Department of our Private Sector Enterprise. This is a great opportunity to support an established team of talented environmental scientists and engineers. You will work on projects that involve both clean water and contaminated water issues. You will help our clients investigate and remediate sites, permit new sites, and stay in compliance with operating sites. The successful candidate should have a strong knowledge base in the application of regulations, understanding of local, state and federal compliance requirements, regulatory experience with project delivery and client management, business and proposal development skills, and ability to work collaboratively in teams and mentoring junior staff.
This role will provide a high level of support for ongoing and new projects addressing environmental concerns of private sector projects. In addition, this position will support project development (i.e., scopes of work, proposals and project budgeting), compliance strategy development, representing our clients in negotiations with regulatory agencies, and promoting a high level of technical competence in our work products.
