Utilize your skills to make a difference in the lives of patients as a Lead Medical Records Clerk with our Venice Family Clinic team. With guidance and direction from the department supervisor, the Lead Medical Records Clerk will provide a wide range of administrative support including supervision in the medical records office.
In this role, they will:
- Supervise the department’s daily operation, including monitoring work quality/productivity, training new employees, and develop and implement office procedures that enhance work flow and streamline the medical records process.
- File/organize patient charts and other materials, and pull charts for general clinics and specialties.
- Process incoming clinic mail and maintain files.
- Maintain active medical records file by routinely checking for misfiles auditing and purging records, logging information for transfer to inactive filing system.
- Stock office and order supplies, and perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $21.93- $30.74 Hourly
- Demonstrated organizational skills to provide administrative and supervisory support and to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of the chart bar-coding system and QSI.
- Demonstrated skill in organizing work priorities.
- Good communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- General medical terminology knowledge.
- Ability to identify problems and problem solve independently.
- Working knowledge of computers (PCs) and other office equipment.
