Job Description

Cape Fox Federal Integrators (CFFI) is seeking an experienced Material Coordinator.  The Material Coordinator will manage the flow of receiving, shipping and inventory processes for accuracy ensuring all steps are followed within their respective functions. The Material Coordinator is responsible for reviewing shipping documentation, monitoring shipments to and from the warehouse to its final destination, managing ALMSS transactions and maintaining files for internal & governmental review. Other areas of focus include ensuring accuracy of documentation, creating visibility of shipments and receipts, and providing support to internal & external customers. The ability to make certain that we maintain free flowing lines of communication with government and contractor offices both verbally and digitally will be critical to the success of the organization.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inbound/outbound shipment details in the AF Automated Logistics Management Support System (ALMSS)
  • Coordinate with government representatives for damaged material.
  • Scan packing list(s) to central database on INTELINK for BOM verification.
  • Initiate the solution for shipping discrepancies by contacting vendors, customers, and/or shippers.
  • Ensure all equipment that arrive and require testing is immediately done so by the IT team.
  • Verify priority of shipments to dictate mode of transportation and cost using FEDEX Express and FEDEX Freight accounts.
  • Coordinate with FEDEX to validate shipping requirements as needed.
  • Load FEDEX tracking numbers to ALMSS database and email tracking information to all customers.
  • Certify the processing of all warehouse receipts and due-ins.
  • Manage bi-annual inventory requirements and  high dollar value items on a frequent basis; ensure these items are serialized control and items are annotated in COTS

Onsite Support:

  • Conduct site evaluations to obtain logistic information from the gaining unit before equipment arrives for the installation.
  • Perform joint inventories with customers at the gaining location.
  • Conduct ALMSS and/or logistics training with the customer (if necessary).
  • Maintain 100% accountability of equipment during Phases 0 & 1.
  • Assist IT installation team with IT tasks as necessary (i.e. cabling, labeling, etc.)
  • Manage WASP asset and warehouse location labeling process
  • Identify training issues and/or requirements to Warehouse Lead

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • Completion of high school or vocational school, a GED certificate or the equivalent.
  • 5-7 years wholesale distribution experience preferred
  • Currently hold a Secret Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI
  • Forklift and scissor lift experience desired

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Ability to obtain considerable knowledge of customer and logistics policies & regulations that pertain to storage, shipping, and handling of various materials.
  • Ability to obtain considerable knowledge of cover and how it pertains to warehouse operations.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-oriented!
  • Ability to operate various material handling equipment in accordance with safety requirements and procedures.
  • Ability to safely move material of various sizes and weights throughout the warehouse and onto different types of trucks. Materials may include crates, furniture, and electronics.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in decision making and to be creative in problem solving (e.g. maximize space, handle the wide range of materials received, deal with multiple customers and priorities, and resolve inventory discrepancies).
  • Ability to read and understand manifests and other documents.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance in accordance with customer regulations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with minimal oversight.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
  • Travel may be required 15%-25% annually
