The Department of Medicine is seeking to hire a Lab Assistant IV to support our research endeavors. In this role, you will contribute to animal studies, surgeries, and tissue processing. Under the general supervision of multiple Principal Investigators, you will handle data and sample collections. Beyond research, you will support lab operations, including ordering materials and guiding students. Your role extends to actively participating in laboratory experiments, making a significant impact on medical innovation. Hourly range: $28.79-$34.63
Required:
• Graduation from high school or a General Education Diploma and five years of laboratory experience or two years of college including courses in the natural, physical or social sciences and four years of laboratory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledges and abilities essential to successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
• Ability to work with animals humanly and ethically.
• Ability to handle and protect confidential and sensitive data
• Ability to function as part of a multi-disciplinary team under close supervision.
• Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and computer skills
• Able to work in an open office environment with interruptions and distractions.
• Ability to take responsibility for meeting deadlines
• Demonstrate willingness to learn more advanced technical and laboratory skills related to the research environment.
