Come join our Venice Family Clinic as a Clinical Social Worker and make a difference in the community. The LCSW position is housed in the HIV program called Common Ground which serves primarily the HIV population at the Venice Family Clinic. The goal of the behavioral health position is to provide high-quality therapeutic interventions and participate in the coordination of care. This BH position will consist of both high-quality individual and group psychotherapy as well as participation in multidisciplinary meetings with medical, psychiatric, and case management personnel. Experience with the LGBTQI and substance-using populations is essential in providing a harm-reduction-oriented intervention that helps reduce shame and empowers patients. The LCSW will work closely with an interdisciplinary team that includes substance use specialists, case managers, and medical providers. Supervising graduate students consulting with staff and helping coordinate care is also included.
Note this position is fixed hybrid (50% remote) but will require on-site work at our 622 Rose Avenue location (base) and at our 604 Rose Avenue clinic.
Salary range: $50.43 – $60.27 Hourly
Required:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited School of Social Work or Social Welfare.
- California State licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
- Effective interpersonal skills, communication skills, and advanced Spanish communication skills.
- Demonstrated work experience with young families, pregnant women, teens, and low income populations (including the homeless).
- Demonstrated work experience in individual, family and group therapy.
- Skill at developing treatment and case management plans, and knowledge of community mental health and social services.
- Knowledge of substance abuse, community mental health, and social services.
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet client needs.
