The Opportunity: 
The American Girl design team is a group of passionate and inspired designers with the goal of honoring American Girls past, while carving out new ways to bring brand relevance to our future.  We are looking for a Project Administrator to support the American Girl Product Design Team in El Segundo, CA. This role will play a vital piece of our team, being the feet on the ground for our remote team, while making sure our El Segundo team’s needs are supported as well. This person will be the liaison between cross-functional teams, communicating with multiple teams a day. We’re looking for someone with strong people skills who can multi-task. Having a love and knowledge of our brand, is a plus!

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Coordinating the photo studio product samples as well as ordering, tracking, and distribution of physical samples to external studio production partners.
  • Organizing and maintaining accurate product sample inventories, to ensure product integrity of samples for photo shoots and color correcting needs.
  • Work with the design team to prep models for milestone reviews, help with design packages and style sheets.
  • Work with creative and technical execution teams to ensure product accuracy. Strong styling aesthetic and attention to detail when setting up product samples and communicating styling notes to cross-functional partners is a must.
  • Work closely with Product Design, Packaging, Creative Opps, Photo Studio and Art Directors to coordinate product samples for photo shoots, milestone meetings, etc. This role will organize and communicate any product changes/updates and communicate out next steps to all end users involved.
  • Manage product sample ordering process in order to support the product archives while keeping the American Girl Doll Studio organized and updated with the most recent dolls.

What We’re Looking For: 

  • 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have an extremely high attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Experience using Excel, PowerPoint, Photo Shop and Illustrator
  • Ability to positively build and maintain relationships across organization
  • Be trusted and loyal partner; able to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to deal with and handle changing schedules quickly and efficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player and be the liaison between many teams
  • Demonstrated excellent communications skills, both written and oral
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work
  • Forward thinker, able to see improvements to processes and share with others
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds up and down stairs

 

The base hourly rate for this position is between $27.50 and $43.75.

**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base hourly rate will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
