Job Description

Summary:

Accuray is looking for an experienced Software Architect with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to think strategically about business requirements, create technical definitions around customer objectives in complex situations, develop solution strategies, motivate, mobilize resources, and deliver results. This role requires experience in providing solutions utilizing cloud technologies and deployed both through a cloud provider and/or on premise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define software architecture solutions for applications used in a medical clinic setting.

  • Drive consistent design across applications and platforms through advocacy and mentoring in design discussions and design reviews

  • Work with systems, product, and development teams to convert the technical requirements of a project into the architecture and design that will guide the final product.

  • Responsible for bridging the gaps between complex business problems and solutions in the cloud and help define and maintain technology roadmaps.

  • Work with members of the technology team, including other architects, DevOps engineers and developers, to ensure that the solutionsmeet all customer and business needs and adheres to the technology roadmap.

  • Participate in testability and testing discussions on how to determine if product requirements have been met, and estimate scope of proposed design changes.

Qualifications:

a. Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field

  • 1-3 years of back-end development experience including a structured programming language.

  • 1-3 years of front-end development experience including React, Angular or another JS framework.

  • A firm grasp of RESTful API design and scalable web architecture.

  • Experience developing software applications in an Agile environment.

  • Prior experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure

b. Preferred or Desired

  • Demonstrated ability to migrate legacy solutions to cloud technologies.

  • Industry experience and knowledge of medical device and regulatory standards highly preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering and development

  • 2+ years of experience in software architecture and design

  • 2+ years of experience in a team lead role
