NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer to join our team in Mountain View, California (US-CA), United States (US).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Architecture, deployment, and administration of multiple enterprise level cloud-based solutions
  • Provide Tier 3 systems support, supporting project initiatives in continuous service improvement, and the performance of system administration tasks and system maintenance activities
  • Responsible for crucial infrastructure services including Data Storage, Web, Monitoring, and system administration for multiple systems
  • Provides all aspects of system administration, operations, and application support for services supported for the customer
  • The team covers the design, implementation, operations and decommissioning phases of applications and instances for these services
  • Assist in the development, implementation and documentation of AMI builds, automation scripts, IAM permissions and keys in multiple availability zones
  • Create process improvements and automation solutions
  • Document and monitor processes and procedures necessary for operational compliance
  • Work with customer to Identify ways to improve capabilities and offerings

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years of Senior Systems Administration in an enterprise environment
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to demonstrate senior AWS skills during the interview process
  • Knowledge of Linux (CentOS/Ubuntu) Apache and network configuration and troubleshooting
  • VMWare and ESX Hypervisors proficiency
  • Knowledge of Storage Area Networks
  • Expertise in using and configuring Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience Installing and configuring Linux hosts in a Cloud environment. Including AMI to instance deployments along with familiarity with how VPCs and subnets work
  • Familiarity with DevOps configuration management tools and development (terraform, ansible, puppet, chef)
  • Experience with configuration management and automation tools - Ansible & Jenkins preferred
  • Requires the ability to configure log file management with auditing capabilities. (i.e. Splunk)
  • Ability to develop, produce and maintain system and data center documentation, including adherence to defined change management process and procedures
  • Extensive knowledge of change & incident management. The ability to test and validate updates and changes to the Linux instances without adverse effects on the production environment
  • Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a SECRET government clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • Python (boto3), ruby, or other scripting experience
  • Previous experience performing work on a Government Contract
  • Experience operating large-scale enterprise cloud environments
  • Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and additional IaaS experience
  • Hands-on experience with databases, networking, and cloud services.
    Information security experience in scope of architecture and development
  • Knowledge and/or certifications in ITIL, SAFe, agile, Kanban or scrum methodologies is a plus
