Overview



Huitt-Zollars' Ontario, California office has an excellent Civil Engineer EIT career opportunity. HZ is a leading full-service design firm providing innovative planning, engineering, architectural design, construction and program management, and design-build project delivery to our clients in the public and private sector. Responsibilities:
  • Advanced AutoCAD 3D and/or GIS is a plus
  • Ability to prepare civil engineering documents and specifications for projects
  • Ability to read redlines and modify drawings accurately
  • Work with project manager and assisting on producing design plans for land development and public works projects
  • Research available record data for existing improvements and record plans
  • Plan production will include preparations of plan and profiles of streets and other underground utilities
  • Assist project manager with preparation of design plans, specifications, construction support, and cost estimating
  • Produce design and construction drawings incorporating information from supervisor, research data and consultants for various projects including land development grading, utilty, drainage, and paving plans
  • Participate in site visits and assist with documenting findings
  • Attend, record, distribute meeting minutes, assist with general project correspondence
Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
  • Registered Engineer-In-Training prefered
  • 0-4 years experience
