JOB OVERVIEW:
This position provides international expertise in the sales and marketing of Ortho’s fix appliance products and Aligners within the defined territory which includes Canada, South and select Central American, Dominican Republic and Spain.  Requires regular, reliable attendance and excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish.  Related Dental clinical experience required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Manages and grows sales within the Latin American region.  Meets and exceeds sales quotas as established for the region and develops sales quotas for each distributor in the region.  Establishes sales and marketing plans, new product introductions, expansion of products lines with all distributor within the region.  Coordinates with Manager marketing, promotional, sales and educational needs through written communication and well documented meeting notes and minutes.  
  • Reviews and build market intelligence to clearly understand the position of HSO in all markets within the region.  Prepares market analyses to determine customer needs, develops sales campaigns to meet Ortho’s sales goals.
  • Analyzes sales statistics to recommend pricing policy necessary for key products to ensure sales success.  To review and measure results against quarterly and annual purchase objectives and to promote and grow sales.
  • Identify and select distributor candidates for Ortho Technology, Ortho Organizer, Masel and SLX Aligners.  Qualify the candidates, complete the application process for review and final approval of the Executive Director of International Sales.
  • Works effectively with internal customers from all functional areas to investigate and resolve day-today issues.  Provide product sales forecast to assist with inventory needs.  Resolve issues with customers quickly and effectively.  Provide solutions when problems arise.
  • Performs international travel for the company: meets with distributors and their key customers; represents company at trade associations meetings to promote product.
  • Conducts Educational programs for doctors for key core products through the region and hold lunch and learns for prices.
  • Conduct Study clubs for key products.
  • Plays a key role in the introduction of important new products and holds training programs
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required, by manager.
KNOWLEDGE: 
Seasoned, experienced senior level professional; in-depth knowledge and full understanding of multiple disciplines and good knowledge of other related disciplines. Assignments are broad in nature and require excellent judgment and analytical ability, evaluation, originality and ingenuity to solve. Complete understanding and wide application of principles, theories and concepts of a particular field. Resolve a wide range of complex issues and assignments in creative and effective ways. Serve as a resource to others to resolve complex problems and issues. May play a support role in high-level projects that have an impact on company’s future direction. May take on project lead role on medium-sized projects. Barriers to entry may exist at this level.
COMPLEXITY: 
Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Interpret internal and/or external business issues and recommend solutions/best practices to solve a range of complex problems and assignments; take a broad perspective to identify solutions. Exercise judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Guide others in resolving complex issues based on existing solutions and procedures. Network with key senior internal and external personnel inside and outside own area of expertise.
SUPERVISION: 
Determine methods and procedures for new assignments and work independently with guidance in only the most complex situations. May act as a resource to formally train and mentor TSMs with less experience. Assignments are broad and moderately complex in nature. May manage vendor relationships.
 
 
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: 
 
Typically 8 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience.
 
PREFERRED EDUCATION: 
 
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent preferred. May hold two or more industry certifications.

  • Dental Clinical background
  • PC literate - ability to use a computer with various software’s.
  • An exceptional written and oral skill (English and Spanish) is required for this position.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: 
 
Typically, to advance to a new job level, TSMs must demonstrate professional behavior and should consistently be at the high-end of meets expectations or consistently exceed expectations.
 
In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:
  • Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures, including WorldWide Business Standards.
  • Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
  • Performing duties in a professional way, supporting Ortho Organizers’ Quality Policy. Must understand, follow and comply with regulatory requirements as applicable to various processes.  An understanding of FDA Quality System Regulations (21 CFR 820) and ISO Standards (ISO 13485) is required.
 
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
 
Travel typically 50%. Must be able to travel internationally, conduct training, and carry sample cases of 20-30lbs. Must be able to take trips of 1-2 weeks as needed.
