Job Description

Working for Webcor is an experience unlike any other. One of the principles our founders baked into our DNA is that people come first. Fifty years later, our people and values remain at the center of everything we do. Our clients agree that the people we assign to their projects are what seal the deal.

Our higher calling is to build solutions and better lives. This includes devising ways to deliver diverse, high-profile, and innovative structures, many of which have become iconic parts of the skylines where we work (primarily the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and San Diego). Our Core & Shell, Special Projects, and self-perform groups – Webcor Concrete, Webcor Drywall, and Webcor Carpentry – operate on clear transparency and collaboration.

It also means crafting career paths that support the individual goals of our people through rotation plans, volunteer opportunities, and other people-focused experiences. Cultivating an equitable, diverse, and inclusive environment is key to achieving these goals. We better lives through community engagement programs, corporate philanthropy involvement, a deep commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility, a culture of leadership, and an employee experience that includes competitive financial, health, and wellness benefits. Whether you are a craft specialist, an experienced professional, or a recent graduate seeking your first career opportunity, Webcor will deliver an unparalleled experience for you.

What You’ll Do:

At Webcor, you won’t be just another cog in the wheel. You’ll leave your thumbprint on big, meaningful, and complex projects. You’ll have the support of a small, tight-knit organizational community and of executive leadership. As a Project Coordinator, you will support two of our Federal projects in the China Lake area. You will:

  • Provide overall administrative support to the project team for the day-to-day activities on the project including: administration of subcontracts and all associated construction compliances, documents, and documentation; electronic processing of subcontractor and vendor invoices and payroll; job site safety; and office management. You will also initiate and execute project start-up and close-out.
  • Coordinate jobsite office set up, office and phone equipment, office supplies, and vendor’s services.
  • Own the project accounting process within specified timelines.
  • Process new-hire field and transfer employees and coordinate field lay-off paperwork. Approve timecards.
  • Other office management related duties as required.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Payroll processing experience required.
  • Construction accounting experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working for a general contractor preferred.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to use MS Office with proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • You are authentic and are known for going above and beyond what is asked of you.
  • You have a keen ability to influence others to meet deadlines and accomplish required tasks. You are pleasant yet firm.
  • You are well organized and possess a highly professional demeanor.

Webcor is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or status as a protected veteran.
