The UEWR System Analyst position is located at Beale AFB, California.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The UEWR System Analyst has the overall technical responsibility for reducing and analyzing track data for a ground-based phased array radar site. The System Analyst will also act as a mentor for the computer and radar operations staff and will help to develop and refine operational procedures or checklists. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills to include the ability to explain results of analysis to both technical and non-technical personnel.

Educational/Training Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience.
  • Must have an Active Security Clearance.
  • Fundamental understanding of the following:
    • Radar design, performance, capabilities, and limitations
    • Radar requirements and performance analysis
    • Simulation of radars in large complex systems
    • Radar model requirements development for large scale system simulations
    • Large scale system simulation, verification, validation and test
    • Knowledge of Ballistic Missile Defense concepts
    • Specific knowledge of one or more Phased Array Radars

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Desired qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related engineering or science degree. The ideal candidate is a lifelong learner, self-starter, and stays on task. Five years' experience with a concentration in the following areas:
  • LINUX operating systems
  • Perl, Python, and Shell Scripting
  • A background in mathematics as related to orbital mechanics and radar analysis Signal Processing concepts, radar search and track, and Phased Array Radar principles MATLAB, Mathematica, Satellite Tool Kit (STK) Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint Active Secret security clearance May include overnight or weekend travel May include extended work hours and/or weekend work.

Supervision:

  • Reports to the Communications-Electronics Manager.

Work Environment:

  • The selected individual will work in a computing center environment. This may require working extended hours or weekends. Overnight or weekend travel may also be included.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Sitting and working at a computer for extended periods.
