The Billing Specialist has the primary responsibility of insuring customer invoices are generated in full compliance with contracts and tracking spend on customer projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish process to maintain and manage contract budget versus actual billing.
  • Gain understanding of the Proposal to invoice process to understand the timing of when line items on the proposal should be billed.
  • Track invoicing against expenses and client contracts to insure revenue is recognized.
  • Collaborate with project management team to research and address client questions regarding invoicing reconciliation to contracts, investigate discrepancies and track outstanding issues to resolution.
  • Work with the Billing Team and the AP/AR Coordinator to resolve customer invoice concerns and provide invoice back-up information as required.
  • Prepare reconciliations for all prior and current invoices against project costs per contract.
  • Review third party invoices to insure accurate pass through of charges to clients.
  • Review of existing processes with an aim to suggest and implement improvements.
  • Assist in providing invoice back-up for the year-end audit process.
  • This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Revenue reconciliation and or contract review experience preferred
  • Experience or degree in accounting a plus
  • Knowledge of JDE a plus
  • Project oriented with superior attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team player who interacts well cross functionally
