The Role

As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking an International Tax Senior Analyst who will be reporting to the Senior Global Tax Manager. The primary responsibilities for this role will be assisting with a variety of international tax accounting, tax compliance and planning work. The individual will support the enactment of the global transfer pricing policy and the drafting of the relevant documentation. The candidate will perform tax research and analysis, also, to support the international tax audit defense. This role will be involved in exciting projects related to business integration, financial flow planning and profit analysis for value chains. The position will have exposure to business segments around the globe. This position can be located in Waltham, MA or San Diego, CA and operates on a hybrid schedule.

The Responsibilities

  • Support the tax compliance process, including preparation of information returns for the US income tax return, including Forms 5471 and related disclosures.
  • Establish, analyze, and monitor transfer pricing per global policy, including calculating transfer price adjustments as necessary.
  • Assist with transfer pricing documentation preparation in compliance with OECD guidelines and local transfer pricing regulations.
  • Support the calculation of international tax attributes and positions during quarterly tax provision and forecast processes, including Subpart F, GILTI and FDII, and foreign tax credits.
  • Assist with global transfer price maintenance to support tax and global teams.
  • Participate in the preparation of the global corporate income tax provision.
  • Contribute to various business integration projects around the world.
  • Support local finance teams on tax controversy, as needed
  • Participate in various special projects and research international technical tax matters.
  • Collaborate with various business, accounting, FP&A and other personnel throughout the Company to gather and analyze data.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years federal or international income tax experience within a multinational organization and/or public accounting firm.
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and ability to extract data from accounting and consolidation systems
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail is mandatory
  • Must possess strong collaborative skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, willing to learn as well as possess the ability to act and operate independently.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelors degree with a major in accounting or finance.

The Key Working Relationships

Internal Partners: Corporate accounting team, local finance team, FP&A team, Treasury team, IT team.

External Partners: Tax and transfer pricing consultants

The Work Environment

This position operates in a typical office environment on a hybrid schedule. Travel for the role may range from 0%-5% of the time.

Salary Transparency

Salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including: education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, its is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on that facts and circumstances of each case. A salary range for this position is $65,000 to $118,000. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time) and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
