Working under the direct supervision of the Chief Data and Analytics Officer (CDAO), the Senior Business and Data Analyst will support a diverse set of stakeholders (executives, department heads, and data scientists,) within King's Hawaiian by helping business units and departments improve data analysis within their group. This would include helping groups improve data collection, data processing, and data analysis techniques through direct support and education. The individual will help groups understand, leverage, and combine the services provided by the CDAO team such as data analysis, data science, data engineering, and BI. The individual will manage workflow orchestration and demonstrate strength in machine learning data modeling.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner closely with departments to improve their data analysis processes and capabilities.
  • Work closely with other data analysts, data scientists, data engineers, and DW/BI Architects to develop analytical solutions that provides tangible value back to the King's Hawaiian.
  • Lead efforts to gather, analyze and model business data (customers, financials, operational, organizational), key performance indicators, and/or market data (competitors, products, suppliers), using a broad set of analytical tools and techniques to develop quantitative and qualitative business insights and improve decision-making.
  • Provide executive level analysis and presentations on business problems, developed insights, and recommended actions.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of this role.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, business analysis, computer science or related quantitative field from an accredited 4-year college or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • 3+ years' experience in a data analyst role within a relevant sector
  • Experience in developing strategies to work through abstract or complex business problems
  • Experience in developing solutions that leverage analytical techniques to solve or understand business problems
  • Experience in building robust analytical models that provide clear interpretation of data
  • Experience extracting/cleansing data and generating insights from large transactional data sets using SQL, R, Python, Spark on the cloud
  • Experience working on teams building advanced Analytical applications
  • Proficient with Excel, of course, but also Self-service BI Tools
  • Ability to work across multiple teams and projects
  • Experience in CPG industry is preferred

  • Working knowledge of different SAP and Manufacturing Data.

  • Ability to identify training opportunities to address knowledge gaps
  • Proficient leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
