King's Hawaiian is looking to add another Insights Manager to join our growing Innovation team focused on designing irresistible, Hawaii-inspired products for consumers to love.

Who Are You?

At King's Hawaiian, we do not believe consumers are fully satisfied. We are passionate about intimately understanding consumer behavior to develop points of view (POVs) and ideas to progress consumer experiences with irresistible food. As an Innovation Insights Manager, you will study consumer behavior to uncover new product opportunities, develop POVs and hypotheses to guide ideation, and facilitate consumer studies with prototypes to explore and validate your hypotheses.

Key responsibilities:
  • Act as a key driver in progressing innovation growth at KING'S HAWAIIAN

  • Intimately study and understand markets and consumer behavior to uncover new product opportunities

  • Design and execute consumer behavior studies to formulate hypotheses to guide new product ideation

  • Leverage ideation frameworks and tactics with innovation team members to convert insights into actionable ideas

  • Work on diverse innovation project teams (i.e., with chefs, food scientists, marketers, engineers, packaging engineers, etc.) to develop new product prototypes to explore and test consumer-led hypotheses

  • Responsible for developing and executing research plans from start to finish, by creating learning plans and leveraging a mix of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

  • Drive continual improvement by identifying and experimenting with new innovative research techniques for interacting with our current and future consumers to learn about their behaviors and beliefs

  • Be the authority on our consumers by answering critical questions about the consumer and holding the team accountable to launching consumer-validated products

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously

Skills/Experience:
  • 7+ years of consumer research/insights experience

  • Entrepreneurship and/or innovation experience a plus

  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and storytelling with data

  • Experience with various methods/tactics for studying consumer behavior to derive insights

  • Direct experience with interactive consumer interviews

  • Ability to manage third-party projects AND lead/execute internal self-directed projects

  • Strategic thinking and problem solving to uncover opportunities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work in an ambiguous and entrepreneurial environment

  • Dedication to continuous improvement in a dynamic environment
