The Head of New Product Marketing and Opportunities, is a unique opportunity to be at the center of shaping the future of the King's Hawaiian brand by driving growth opportunities through innovative new product offerings.

This role provides strategy, leadership, and direction to drive the marketing strategy and new product positioning for all new King's Hawaiian branded items. Reporting to the CMO, this position requires a high degree of influence and collaboration as it sits at the intersection between New Product Development, Core Brand Marketing, and Sales. This position is responsible for exploring and activating new opportunities in multiple areas, including licensing, international, apparel, and other areas to be identified.

  • Responsible for the end-to-end marketing process of launching new products.
  • Drive marketing activation plans to support regional markets in expanding our core product offering internationally.
  • Exploring & identify new licensing opportunities incl. building out our owned lifestyle apparel business.

The individual in this role must have a passion and history of driving newness, love expanding how brands are thought about, and enjoy collaborating with and influencing others to bring new ideas to life. Above all, the right candidate must be dedicated to building the brand and driving growth.

Essential job duties and responsibilities
  • Leads a team of marketers to the successful delivery of business outcomes.
  • Leads a team of marketers in providing strategic thinking and brand positioning for new products.
  • Participates as a core team member of the new product creation processes with the New Product Development team.
  • Leads packaging designers in all new product packaging and artwork design.
  • Collaborates with business leaders to develop short- and long-term strategic plans.
  • Collaborates with the New Product Development team on product evaluation and testing.
  • Collaborates with the core King's Hawaiian brand team on new product marketing efforts.
  • Leads all international marketing efforts in Canada. Also responsible for product efforts in LATAM along with providing marketing direction/guidance to the GM of LATAM.
  • Leads exploration and activation of licensing partners.
  • Leads thinking and activation of new revenue generating / brand building areas for the company. One such current effort includes branded apparel.
  • Develops and mentors his/her team to help them grow in both capabilities and approach to ensure that they have the skills and capabilities needed to achieve team goals.
  • Cultivates and environment of learning, collaboration, curiosity, inclusiveness, and innovative thinking.

Qualifications
  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
  • 8+ years of experience in CPG marketing with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in launching new products
  • Experience in the food industry a plus
  • International experience a plus
