Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the optical architecture design. Develop state-of-the-art metrology systems for semiconductor applications.
  • Understand market requirements, including performance, cost, and time constraints. Follow DfX and PLC (product lifecycle cycle) design process.
  • Generate and finalize engineering specifications for systems and subsystems, and get approval from the management;
  • Design optical system and subsystem with Zemax, perform optimization and tolerances analysis, create technical reports, conduct design reviews, and transfer optical designs to mechanical engineers.
  • Conduct feasibility studies; Build test fixtures, conduct experiments, and retire technical risks.
  • Assemble and debug prototypes, drive alpha & beta tests and product release; Perform product CIP and handle customer escalations.

Qualifications:

  • MS or Ph.D. degree in Optical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of industrial experience in designing and developing precision optical metrology or inspection systems.
  • Hand-on skills in conducting lab experiments and building optical system prototypes.
  • Excellent skills in optical ray-trace modeling and simulations; working knowledge of Zemax for system optimization and tolerance analysis.
  • Excellent knowledge of spectroscopic ellipsometry, reflectometry, scatterometry, optical imaging, interferometric microscopes, and auto-focus systems
  • Works effectively in a cross-functional team environment and has strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Salary Ranges$125,455.40 - $162,825.07

Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
