We are seeking an experienced Assistant Construction Superintendent for a project-based position in San Diego, CA to oversee trades and manage daily on-site activities for multifamily, mixed use, and commercial type Projects.

The successful candidate must possess the knowledge, experience, and confidence to engage and professionally interact with design professionals, consultants, and clients. Responsibilities include directing sub-contractors and other construction related personnel, planning, coordinating, and safely executing work in accordance with the contract documents, schedule, and budget. This individual will work closely with Project Managers and fulfill an integral role on each assigned project. This position may require travel to numerous locations within San Diego County.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Minimum of 2 previous Multifamily Projects completed.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience including a role as a foreman or Assistant Construction Superintendent for a General Contracting firm managing construction projects in the field (i.e. projects from 3M to 20M in scope)
  • Experience working with permitting jurisdiction Required.
  • Procore project management software (or similar software) experience is a plus.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret plans and specs.
  • Must have a strong understanding of construction terminology, scheduling, and planning concepts.
  • Must be proficient at computer use as a means for communication (Word, Excel, Project)
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must understand the importance of safety and quality on a job site.
  • Submittal review and shop drawing review experience.
  • Utilize safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards.
  • Communicate incidents, accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe working conditions to a supervisor or the Health and Safety Department as soon as identified.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Estimated Compensation Range: $90,000 - $105,000.00

*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
