QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER
Seeking a QC Manager who is responsible for the overall management of the quality program and delivering a quality project, exceeding customer requirements. The QC Manager will maintain a presence at the work site during progress of the work and has complete authority and responsibility to take any action necessary to ensure contract compliance. Promptly complete and furnish all letters, material submittals, shop drawing submittals, schedules, and all other project documentation for the project. The QC manager is responsible to maintain these documents and records.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
  • Manage and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure project QC requirements are met, organized, recorded, and maintained.
  • Conduct QC Inspections of the work and ensure subcontractor QC responsibilities and inspections are being met.
  • Perform three-phase inspections during the execution of the work.  Preparatory, Initial, Follow-up.
  • Compile daily reports working with project staff and subcontractors. Obtain record photographs and organize photos with the daily reports.
  • Ensure compliance with specifications through all phases of the execution of the project. Manage submittals, procurement, fabrication, assembly, and installation.
  • Conduct receiving inspections for all deliveries, ensuring compliance with the project specifications, Buy-American Act, and meeting approved submittal requirements.
  • Perform commissioning and start-up activities for systems and subsystems within the project. Manage subcontractor commissioning and start-up activities.
SKILL, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management related field preferable. A minimum of 5+ years of construction experience.
  • Ability to pass extensive background checks for badging purposes; to include NASA, CCSFS, PSFB.
  • Required Certifications: USACE CQC Certificate or Similar.
  • Superior written, verbal communication and organizational skills. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to act as QC Manager and SSHO a plus.
