Our progressive program, dedicated to providing holistic care for seniors, is searching for a passionate and experienced leader for a small outpatient geriatric clinic that operates Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.

PACE operates under an interdisciplinary model emphasizing collaboration among a wide range of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, coordinated, and fully integrated care. Role Overview:
As the DON, you will play a critical role ensuring the delivery of exceptional nursing care. You will support a small department of RNs and LVNs who are deeply committed to serving older adults. Working closely with our interdisciplinary team, you will implement best nursing practices, support smooth clinic operations, and help our nurses be the best they can, while promoting the health and well-being of our participants.

Role Summary:

The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing nursing care, patient outcomes, clinical competencies, regulatory compliance, policies and procedures, strategic planning, and for meeting financial and departmental goals. This role requires a strong leader with extensive experience in geriatric care and a proven track record of success in managing staff, building teams, resource allocation, and patient care.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for all on-site and field-based clinical operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of care.
  • Ability to identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of healthcare professionals, working in a Dyad model with Physician Leadership.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, oversees hiring and performance management.
  • Oversee patient care and quality outcomes, ensuring that patients receive high-quality, person-centered care and support best practice quality measures.
  • Maintain a clinical competency program for RNs and LVNs and collaborates in the provision of clinical competencies for ancillary support staff.
  • Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the overall mission and goals of the organization.
  • Manage the budget for clinical operations, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately to support the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and regulatory agencies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field, with a current RN license in the state of California or an ability and willingness to obtain one within 3-months.
  • At least 5-10 years of experience as a bedside nurse,with progressive leadership experience in nursing management roles.Experience in geriatrics and long-term care is also a plus.
  • Strong understanding of clinical operations and best practices for delivering high-quality care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with all levels of staff and a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards of care in the healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated success in managing budgets and financial resources.
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technology platforms (EPIC preferred).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), or NP with a focus on Leadership,Administration,or Healthcare Management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills,empathy,and a passion for patient care are highly valued.
  • Experience working with models of care for older adults.

Compensation

  • Range: $157,447.00-199,124.00/annual

This amount is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, nor a promise of any specific pay for any specific employee, which is always dependent on actual experience, education and other factors.
