Job Description

Datavant has a network of networks consisting of thousands of organizations, more than 70,000 hospitals and clinics, 70% of the 100 largest health systems, and an ecosystem of 500+ real-world data partners.

By joining Datavant today, you're stepping onto a highly collaborative, remote-first team that is passionate about creating transformative change in healthcare. We hire for three traits: we want people who are smart, nice, and get things done. We invest in our people and believe in hiring for high-potential and humble individuals who can rapidly grow their responsibilities as the company scales. Datavant is a distributed, remote-first team, and we empower Datavanters to shape their working environment in a way that suits their needs.

As a member of our Product Success team, you will be at the forefront of our discussions with our clients - understanding their needs, architecting solutions, and project managing the end-to-end process to implement our solutions across all of Datavant's customers. You will also work alongside our Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to support customers in implementing Datavant's products. Your work will be critical to growing our business, which will ultimately improve patient outcomes.

You Will:

  • Partner with the Sales and Services teams in shaping and closing deals, providing your technical support, product vision, and expert perspective
  • Manage the end-to-end process of getting our clients set-up with Datavant, both technically and from a user perspective
  • Ensure successful client onboarding as soon as a deal is signed and overall high client satisfaction, technically setting up the clients and understanding the client's systems and workflows, as well as troubleshoot technical issues when identified
  • Provide exceptional client service and support, constantly considering ways we could better serve clients through new features, use cases, and products
  • Identify and support automation of repeatable implementations and customer support processes
  • Provide continual feedback to the Product team on how we can improve our product suite

What You Will Bring to the Table:

  • Consistent ability to ramp up quickly on technical aspects of Datavant's software and how it can be used for various end uses
  • Curiosity for understanding current processes and products, with an aptitude to streamline and make work more efficient
  • High customer empathy, both for internal and external customers; ability to work in highly regulated environments and push through bureaucracy when necessary
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented with an exceptional ability to handle multiple client projects simultaneously, including systematic follow up and responsiveness to client requests
  • Proven ability to operate efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and to navigate ambiguity with considerable success
  • Proven ability to communicate cross-functionally with different personas across internal teams (including Go To Market [GTM/Sales], Services and Product Operations, Product Management, Engineering and Marketing)
  • Consider yourself highly motivated and driven to deliver results and work through challenges which are typical of a high-growth, fast-paced start-up environment
  • Bonus but not necessary: prior experience in implementing SaaS solutions or APIs in large, complex organizations

We are committed to building a diverse team of Datavanters who are smart, nice, and get things done, where every Datavanter is empowered to bring their authentic self to their work. We are all responsible for stewarding a high-performance culture in which all Datavanters belong and thrive. We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other legally protected status.

Our compensation philosophy is to be externally competitive, internally fair, and not win or lose on compensation. Salary ranges for this position are developed with the support of benchmarks (competitive San Francisco rates for US-based roles) and industry best practices.

We're building a high-growth, high-autonomy culture. We rely less on job titles and more on cultivating an environment where anyone can contribute, the best ideas win, and personal growth is driven by expanding impact. This means we default to simple job titles (e.g., Software Engineer) rather than complex ones (e.g., Senior Software Engineer). The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. The estimated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000.

At the end of this application, you will find a set of voluntary demographic questions. If you choose to respond, your responses will be anonymous and used to help us identify areas of improvement in our recruitment process. (We can only see aggregate responses, not individual responses. In fact, we aren't even able to see if you've responded or not.) Responding is your choice and it will not be used in any way in our hiring process.
