This individual being hired will be a member of Varian Business Transformation Office Team. The primary function of the position is provide techno-functional leadership for delivering on Enterprise scale business transformation projects, including strategic and transformational initiatives for Varian's Service organizations

The primary responsibilities include:

The ideal candidate will be a strong Salesforce System Analyst with a good understanding of the Salesforce development platform.The primary responsibilities will be to capture, document, and verify the business requirements from the business leads, project stakeholders and be able to design & build applications based on the business requirements on the Salesforce Platform. This person will play a pivotal role in supporting Varian's Service organization by providing Salesforce service and Field Service Lightning expertise and guidance.

Other responsibilities would include:

  • Communicate/Collaborate with other team members on implementing solutions that require knowledge Apex Language, Classes, Workflow, Triggers/Controllers, Lightning Web Components and Visual Force Pages
  • Manage small to medium size project by using either the waterfall methodology or agile scrum methodology
  • Work closely with business support team and internal VIT teams to understand and analyze business processes.
  • Support the design, build, testing and deployment of applications built on Salesforce platform.
  • Manage the software testing process, which includes devising test plans, creating test cases, establishing protocols and coordinate actual software testing.
  • Keep abreast of new Salesforce features and functionality and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Keep application users informed about system functionality and enhancements

Job Requirements

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of strong technical knowledge of Salesforce Service Cloud applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Salesforce Administrator certification and Developer is required,
  • Salesforce Service Cloud certification preferred
  • Salesforce Service experience and Field Service Lightning (FSL) is preferred
  • Hands on expertise with developing complex web applications on Salesforce platform leveraging Apex, LWC, SOQL & Visualforce technologies
  • Ability to integrate Salesforce Platform with other third-party systems leveraging Dell Boomi/Snap Logic middleware
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across all levels within the organization
  • Understanding of Service operations, including Call Center, Dispatching, Field Service, Spare Parts Management, Installation and Training & Education, enforce the best practices
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies; good understanding of Agile project management methodology as well as Waterfall project management methodology
  • Plus: Exposure to SAP ERP application, especially in the SAP's Service Management area
  • Proficient in custom objects, workflow and validation rules, email templates, formulas, dashboards & reporting, Sandbox-to-Production processes
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, data modeling and database schemas, including basic knowledge of SQL
  • The person must have experience of maintaining FDA validated environment
  • Experience or exposure to healthcare domain preferred
  • Experience with agile methodologies and scrum practices
  • Experience communicating and collaborating with business and IT stakeholders, defining business requirements, and creating detailed system/functional design documents
  • Ability to effectively communicate and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and analytical skills

The base pay range for this position is

Min $105,500 - Max $189,800

The pay wage range shown is based on the job posting's primary location. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
