We are seeking a Business Operations Analyst for our Canoga Park, CA office.
There are multiple positions available and the position can be elevated to Senior Analyst based upon qualifications of the candidate.
This role will be to work on site in a professional environment within one of the Space development program business management offices. The primary responsibilities are to support preparation and maintenance of program budgets, support establishment of cost plans, and estimates at completion of assigned Government and/or Commercial project(s). The analyst will learn to apply Earned Value Management techniques; finance and accounting skills; prepare financial reporting and use metrics associated with management best practices.

The successful candidate will perform the following type of activities through mentoring and coaching as well as on the job training:
45% - Assist with budgeting, tracking, analyzing program cost performance (external and internal financial reports) and estimates at completion using Excel, and other business systems. This includes application of earned value management techniques and tools.
45% - Generate and maintain multiple cost and financial reports used for various internal purposes including corporate strategic planning and analysis. This requires interface and use of the corporate reporting system as well as application of finance and accounting processes.
5% - Participate in project improvement teams as applicable
5% - Develop and maintain desk level instructions
Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and six (6) years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The candidate's level of expertise in each of the following skills / capabilities will be a consideration:
Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
