Job Description

SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE:

This position will have dual responsible for providing managerial level accounting support for the Company's transactions related to cost and inventory accounting, as well as provide managerial level accounting support for the Company's in-licensing collaboration agreements. This person will interface daily with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Alliance Management and the G/L and technical accounting teams to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

*Actively participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, which includes review or preparation of journal entries, review of balance sheet reconciliations and analysis of balance sheet and income statement, specifically focused on inventory, COGS and in-licensing collaboration accounts.
*Perform cost accounting activities including developing and analyzing standard costs, excess & obsolete reserves, scrap analysis, inventory variance reviews and analysis and reporting of inventory and COGS.
*Assist with the design, configuration, testing and maintenance of Inventory Absorption accounting in SAP.
*Reviewing or performing in-licensing collaboration accounting activities.
*Review and analysis of the reconciled general ledger accounts on a monthly basis including book to perpetual inventory, inventory reserves and in-licensing collaboration accruals.
*Perform balance sheet and income statement flux analysis with detailed commentary for management reporting.
*Collaborate with supply chain and other cross-functional departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of COGS, operating expenses and inventory balances.
*Drive process improvements in the accounting and reporting of inventory, COGS and in-licensing collaborations.
*Manage external audit requests and PBC items for the quarterly and year-end audits.
*Participate in the annual site visits to conduct physical inventory counts.
*Provide support for SOX related activities.
*Manage and/or assist with other projects as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Education/Experience:

*BS/BA degree in related discipline and eight years related experience; or,
*MS/MA degree in related discipline and six years related experience; or,
*Equivalent combination of education and experience.
*CPA preferred.

Experience/The Ideal for Successful Entry into Job:

*Experience in Auditing/Accounting and Cost Accounting.
*Big 4 experience is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills:

*General knowledge of accounting/finance principles and theory.
*SAP software proficiency highly preferred.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications.
*Strong analytical and business communication skills.
*Strong attention to details and ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
*Ability to interact cooperatively and work as a team.
*Demonstrated success in problem solving.

Working Conditions:

*Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
*May also work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The base pay range for this positionis $131,000 - $186,000 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate's geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors.
