Crissair is looking for an entry level Buyer I to join our team!

Summary
Responsible for the purchase of multiple commodities including raw materials, machined components, outside processing, and support services.  Responsible for negotiating with manufacturers or service providers on prices and deliver dates to make sure they are in line with company goals and needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other tasks and duties may be required as directed.
•    Create purchase orders (POs) for Raw material, Machined parts, Purchased parts and OSP Processes. 
•    Create Request for Quote (RFQ) for Raw material, Machined parts, Purchased parts and OSP Processes. 
•    Use discretion to procure components, materials and equipment that meet demand while making decisions on economic order quantities factoring in considerations such as price, delivery costs, demand levels, timing, market trends and potential for design changes/obsolescence.
•    Align product deliveries to minimize inventory while ensuring that production and service needs are being met. 
•    Assess financial and schedule risks in order to recommend volume buys, etc.
•    Review key purchasing drivers (lead time, safety stock, lot size) and identify areas where drivers need to be adjusted to ensure it meets the current needs of the business.
•    Using quantitative skills/methods to analyze components/raw materials costs.  
•    Perform variance analyses for price changes.
•    Monitor delinquent PO reports and Reschedule reports to ensure delivery needs are met.
•    Follow up with suppliers on delivery of orders and manage change issues as they occur.
•    Assist reconciling open PO report for accuracy, past due items, and work with accounting regarding invoicing discrepancies.
•    Maintain suppliers’ manufacturing schedules to support in-house production.
Qualification Requirements
Education/Experience
•    Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; and one to two years’ experience; or four to ten years' experience in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
•    Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
•    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  
•    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  
•    Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  
•    Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Math Skills
•    Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be capable to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 
•    Must be capable to calculate figures and amounts, such as, discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  
•    Must have the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Skills
•    Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be capable to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions, such as, mathematical, and/or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer/ Technical/Office Skills
•    Basic windows/internet browser
•    ERP/Inventory
•    Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Power Point
•    Typing
•    10-Key
•    Blueprint Reading
•    Strong knowledge of raw materials
•    Mil standards, processing specifications
