Job Description

SUMMARY

Implement quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations. Inspects all phases of a variety of work, services or operations for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the creation of QC and Safety manuals; keep manuals current and provide notice of changes in policy or procedures to the Program Manager.
  • Responsible for site compliance of OSHA and HazMat regulations.
  • Plan and prioritizes test-related tasks and schedules to ensure quality of operations and safety of performance.
  • Taking steps to correct any deficiencies or adapt to any changes in policy or practice.
  • Conduct periodic QC inspections of assigned areas of the site, forwarding all findings to the Site and Program Manager.
  • Create and/or assist Site Manager developing POAM's when requested by the government.
  • Maybe required to attend scheduling, planning and other meetings with the government.
  • Monitor corrective actions on discrepancies noted during the QA process to ensure issues are addressed/corrected, or that plans are developed to resolve problems.
  • In absence of the Site Manager, has the same authority and responsibilities.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferably three (3) years' experience on GTSS operations.
  • Capable of attending all Gov NET training.
  • Capable of attaining all required Hazardous Material certifications and inspecting for conformance.
  • Capable of attaining all required Lead Recovery certifications and inspecting for conformance.
  • Adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with employees and management team.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
  • Ability to coordinate several activities at once, quickly analyzes and resolves specific problems, and copes with deadlines effectively.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises and mentors all site personnel.

Job Requirements

WORK SCHEDULE

40 hours per week. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

TRAVEL

The expected travel time is less than 25%.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver's license and be insurable on the company's automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily performed in an office setting but may also be performed in a maintenance facility as well as outdoors in military training areas. Work is often performed outdoors, in adverse conditions including inclement weather such as high humidity, heat, cold, high wind, rain, and various local conditions. Our mission is to train US Marines; therefore, we work side by side with them in all climates and conditions. Employee may be exposed to sharp objects and may be exposed to some heat, loud noise, chemicals, lead and vibration. Katmai strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory if applicable. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for handling, to work with such hand tools as wrenches, screwdrivers, wire cutters, pliers, and soldering irons. Seeing up close. reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE

  • Pay is: $70,000 - $80,000 yearly.
