Sales Engineer
Your tasks

Actively work with the Regional Manager to grow/develop sales in various Industrial and Consumer service areas, such as ITE, consumer goods, machinery, SEMI, lighting and laboratory equipment. Sales focus will be concentrated on the Product testing services offered by TUV SUD such Electrical safety, EMC, Certification Process, and/or Wireless Testing. Conduct interactions for potential sales opportunities, identification of valid leads, follow-up and coordination with sales management.

Essential Functions

Build relationships with customers by serving as the technical liaison from pre-sales booking with the goal of being the customer's trusted advisor

Perform customer discovery discussions to understand and document business needs and regulatory requirements necessary for the formulation of optimal solutions

Provide professional after-sales follow-up and support to enhance customers' dedication

Participate in strategic and tactical account planning with Account Executives and management

Work to streamline sales processes and workflow

Unearth new sales opportunities through networking and turn them into long term partnerships; Expand Sales Territory customer base and orders in line with assigned targets

Remain informed of changes to and developments of relevant test standards, test methods, and policies for existing and evolving technologies. Follow industry technology trends through self-study and formal training, with the goal to share that knowledge with customers

Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data in CRM

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated ability in managing phone, email, and web site inquiries;

Knowledge of Product testing in relevant disciplines (Electrical safety, EMC, Certification Process, and/or Wireless Testing)

Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint;

Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment;

Ability to multi-task and handle deadlines;

Thrive in a fast-pace environment and work well under pressure;

Articulate, professional, courteous and effective manner with internal and external customers

Customer service-oriented;

Self-starter with a positive outlook and motivated attitude;

Experience with global market access to be considered a plus

Your qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Experience

Experience in regulatory compliance test, inspection, and certification services, minimum 3-5 years

Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships

Organizational and time management skills

Enthusiastic and passionate
