What We Need:
The Product Manager is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies for a specific product group. This person works closely with engineering, operations, strategic sourcing and channel management to define, develop, implement and maintain the value proposition around the product line incorporating product lifecycle management and marketing requirements to meet customer expectations. This person will also work with research and development to define, build and launch new products.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manages product category strategy and P&L to achieve established revenue, margin and profit goals
  • Owns product lifecycle strategy for product offering
  • Develops and implements new product roadmap supported through voice of customer and market research
  • Develops and executes pricing strategy for both list and off-book pricing
  • Maintains market position of products through competitive review
  • Develops a comprehensive knowledge base of major market segments and competitive environment that drives action to Sales, Marketing and R&D
  • Works with Engineering, Operations and Strategic Sourcing to identify and execute cost out initiatives to maintain market competitiveness
  • Partners with Marketing Communications on marketing materials, press releases and launch plans consistent with established value proposition
  • Collaborates with channel management to drive product positioning for core customers via web and traditional print platforms
  • Responsible for training both internal and external partners on product line to drive growth
  • Success is measured by organic growth, increasing gross margins and operating income, and a strong pipeline of new products

What You'll Need To Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Sciences or relevant field
  • Minimum of 4 years of product management experience
  • Demonstrated technical expertise and experience with safety products and programs
  • Proficient in written and oral communication
  • Ability to interact with both internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Up to 30% travel
