Position Summary

The Associate is a part of the Credit Research team within the Fixed Income Group. The Associate will work with experienced credit analysts to monitor positions and generate investment recommendations for our bank loan portfolios. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in investing, an understanding of financial statements, and the ability to build financial models. The Associate will gain experience in fundamental credit modeling, business valuation, and relative value analysis in a fast-paced trading floor environment.

This is a two-year program with multiple sector responsibilities across the Credit Research team.

Essential Duties
    Create and maintain financial models and databases, which are used to monitor and analyze existing and prospective investments;
  • Monitor and synthesize news flow, company announcements, regulatory filings, sell-side research, rating reports, etc. related to portfolio investments, particularly those in the leveraged loan market;
  • Communicate with third-party analysts and management of companies within the portfolios;
  • Liaise with the trading team to share updates and investment thesis for new issues;
  • Support the team in creating quarterly reports, credit summaries, and other written research.
Required Qualifications
  • ~1- 4 years of buy-side or sell-side research, investment banking, accounting, consulting, or other relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college with strong academic performance and relevant coursework
  • Excellent Finance, Math, and Excel skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Estimated Compensation:

Base Salary: For CA based position, the base salary base is $125k. This is an anticipated range only.

Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
