The Desktop Support Specialist will have primary responsibility for providing support to end-users on a variety of IT issues, in an effective and timely manner. The Desktop Support Specialist will be the first point of contact for IT support in his/her office. The ability to communicate and interact with both technical and no-technical users is key to success in this role.

How You'll Help Our Team Succeed

  • Track problems from the beginning through resolution for all tickets received during mailbox shift and/or assigned directly to you.
  • Provide excellent local support to end-users and firm-wide during a daily mailbox shift.
  • Provide competent service-oriented support and resolve problems to end-user satisfaction.
  • Perform installations, adds, moves, and changes for PC's, monitors, printers, and related peripherals.
  • Coordinate with teammates and administrative teams to resolve issues and provide technical support for meetings.
  • Perform RSA setups and troubleshooting, hardware repair, password rests/account lockouts, and archive restores.
  • Configure and deploy IT equipment and devices and manage inventory tracking.
What You'll Need to Be Successful
  • 3+ years of experience that demonstrates increasing capability and responsibility; professional services experience preferred.
  • The desire to take initiative and actively contribute to the team and the firm.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to learn the firm's financial and operational functions.
  • The mindset to provide superior service.
  • Expertise in supporting Windows 10, Windows 11, Office 2016 and O365.
  • Excellent Hardware troubleshooting and diagnosis skills.
  • Expertise in supporting Windows 10 in large scale enterprise Windows Active Directory Environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of conference room equipment and support.
  • Ability to work thoroughly follow SOP, checklists, and other instructions.
  • Comp TII A+ certification preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Cornerstone Research is offering a competitive market base salary for this position between $62,100.00 and $77,000.00. A job offer will depend on how closely a candidate's skills, experience and education match the requirements for the role. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes annual performance bonus and generous benefits.
