Due to recent project success and the continued growth of our building performance and climate responsive design team, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Building Performance & Climate Responsive Designer.

The successful Candidate will lead the performance modelling and design of major transport and infrastructure projects related to sustainability, decarbonization, Net Zero, energy and building performance.

Typical work will involve:

First and foremost, this is a diverse role. You'll be responsible for both supporting in client engagement and leading the building performance analysis and climate responsive design of major transport and infrastructure projects:

Typical work will include:

  • Leading the development of whole building energy models for local compliance, LEED and Net Zero.
  • Leading the development of energy modeling/reporting for LEED, Net Zero or local energy compliance.
  • Developing analysis different energy and sustainability project types including LEED, decarbonization and carbon inventory
  • Supporting climate resilience and adaptation strategies, assessments, and implementation plans for clients
  • Project management;
  • Drafting and Developing reports to clients;
  • Supporting the preparation of proposals;
  • Supporting Business development and client engagement; and,
  • Supporting initiatives for the regional and global business.

Candidate Specification:

Candidates who can demonstrate the following skills and experience will be considered for the role:

  • A bachelor/master degree with 7+ years of career experience related to building performance, energy modeling, building science and architecture/mechanical engineering
  • Experience and knowledge of the development and completion of the whole energy modeling models for Title 24 or LEED/ASHRAE 90.1
  • Familiar and proficient with DesignBuilder/EnergyPlus, IESVE and/or CBECC-com
  • Experience of projects in commercial buildings or transportation buildings
  • Proficiency in Sketchup/CAD/BIM/InDesign software as necessary for modeling creation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of leading and working within a team and project management.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills;
  • LEED AP with specialty, other simulation tools such as CFD, Pedestrian Movement simulation and daylight simulation, and Data Analysis/Scripting knowledge a plus
  • Able to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Positive attitude, team player.

Salary Range:$85,000 - $120,000
