Aiming to create the future of LG, focusing on disruptive and exponential growth, LG NOVA works with global corporations, startups, governments, and technology stakeholders to create new businesses, establish strategic partnerships, and develop a broad ecosystem using the "outside-in" innovation process.

Job Description

As a project manager on our incubation team, you will be responsible for defining and guiding the development and execution of projects (including new business ideation and incubation, administrative, and product development projects). You will work closely with cross-functional teams, which include incubation teams (Venture Building Teams and Shared Incubation Resources), LG NOVA teams (including Ecosystem, Marketing, Finance, Strategy, and Engineering), and other LG and outside teams, to ensure that projects are delivered on time within scope, and within budget.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and Execution: Define projects. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets. Identify dependencies. Ensure that projects are executed according to plan and that deliverables are completed on time and within budget. Adjust as needed. Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks. Develop contingency plans to address potential issues.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met.
  • Project Teams Management: Guide project teams, including assigning tasks, setting deadlines, and monitoring progress. Provide guidance and support to team leads and members to ensure they have the resources needed to succeed. Use digital project management and workflow management platforms and tools to structure projects, assign tasks and track progress.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards. Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standard.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is beneficial.
  • Project Management Experience: At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in technology innovation, incubation or startup environment. Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving skills: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome obstacles.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent analytical skills.

Pay Range: To be determined based on seniority and experience. This is a contracting position, not a full-time role with LG.
