As a Trust & Estate Tax Manager, you'll work alongside an integrated team of seasoned, well-known CPAs and industry leaders. In this position, you will take a lead role on all aspects of tax engagements, supervise/mentor staff, and build/maintain relationships with clients.



How You'll Spend Your Time:

  • Preparing and review complex gift, estate, and fiduciary income tax returns, including related schedules and forms
  • Providing tax planning and consulting to our firm's high net worth client for estate, trust and individual income taxes
  • Researching and consult on various estate, gift, and trust related issues, such as trustee and beneficiary issues, Crummey obligations, and generation skipping tax
  • Identify and implement estate and income tax planning opportunities for clients
  • Overseeing billing and collections of clients
  • Managing, coaching, and mentoring staff, seniors, and supervisors
  • Researching and drafting memorandum involving complex tax matters
  • Overseeing complex tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries
  • Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines
  • Serve as performance manager for team members
  • Serving in internal professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA license, EA or JD
  • Masters of Science in Taxation is a plus
  • At least 5 years of prior experience working in the tax department of a public accounting firm, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff
  • Excellent analytical and technical tax skills with an emphasis in Gift, Estate and Trust
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, results-based team environment
  • Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, and strong attention to detail

Compensation Range: $130,000 - $210,000*

*Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.
