POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Project Overview:
NAVFAC Southwest has a requirement for Base Operations Support (BOS) Maintenance and Service Contract for Naval Air Station (NAS), Fallon, Nevada. The primary objective of this contract is to provide Base Operations Support (BOS) Maintenance and Services at Naval Air Station (NAS), Fallon, Nevada, the Fallon Range Training Complex (FRTC), and all associated special areas, tenants, and remote sites, through the use of a combination of Recurring Work and Non-Recurring work. Services to be performed under the resulting contract may include the following:
- Management and Administration
- Air Operations
- Housing
- Facilities
- Utilities
- Base Support Vehicles and Equipment (Transportation)
- Environmental
Position Overview:
The Deputy Project Manager, who has the full authority to act for the Project Manager on all contract matters relating to this contract, will have the same authority as the Project Manager and act for the Project Manager during the Project Manager's absence.
THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD. ALUTIIQ WILL ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FROM INCUMBENTS CURRENTLY HOLDING THE SAME POSITION.
Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Act for the Project Manager on all contract matters relating to this contract, will have the same authority as the Project Manager, and act for the Project Manager during the Project Manager's absence.
- Shall coordinate overall management and shall be the central point of contact with the Government for the performance of all work under the contract.
- Primary liaison with the Government customer.
- Establish and monitor detailed workflows and resourcing plans, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, resolve conflicts, and manage progress with confidence.
- Provide the appropriate amounts of qualified labor and management necessary to perform support services (to include functions required to perform named tasks) ordered under this contract in cost-effective, safe, and environmentally sound management.
- Develop a training program addressing both Government training and contractor-provided training to ensure contractor personnel are trained and required skills are maintained to accomplish the requirements of this effort.
- Provide a licensing/certification program that validates the abilities of contractor personnel to operate the vehicles and equipment necessary for use during this effort.
- Attend briefings, conferences, and other Government-designated meetings as required in the execution of this effort or as requested by the COR.
- Must be fully knowledgeable of all safety, environmental, and energy requirements associated with the work they perform.
- Personnel shall speak, read, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.
