Summary:

We are looking for a versatile and well-rounded mechanical engineer with a solid background in mechanical design principles to join our team to design next generation cancer fighting products. In this role, you will be a creative problem solver and have a background and experience in design, analysis, mechanisms, materials, and precision design. The ideal candidate will be someone who combines a strong and broad technical and design skills with superb practical hands-on attitude and project leadership skills. This person should have the ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary, across functional teams, and supplier collaborations with the goal of delivering quality products on schedule.

Job Description:

In this role, you will:

  • Design and analyze mechanical systems and equipment
  • Own component and subsystem development from origination through release to production
  • Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
  • Lead support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication. Provides design information to drafting for packaging documentation

What you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and 5+ years of related experience or master's degree with 3+ years of related experience
  • Experience creating detailed mechanical designs
  • Experience with dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), materials and finishes, fabrication processes and assembly processes
  • Proficient in CAD systems: SolidWorks or CREO
  • Experience performing analysis using detailed calculations and software tools
  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

What will set you apart:

  • Proficient in performing complex analysis by FEA, sizing of motion components, thermal, acoustics or controls
  • Experience with Design for X (DFX): manufacturing, assembly, service
  • Experience translating technical input into detailed mechanical requirements or verification test plans
  • Experience with FMEAs, risk hazard analysis, design for safety, and a system-level approach to multi-disciplinary medical devices
  • Experience with large capital-equipment scale R&D engineering projects
  • Experience with 510k medical device development

The base pay range for this position is

Min $95,900 - Max $172,600

The pay wage range shown is based on the job posting's primary location. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
