Main Duties & Responsibilities

The Role

• Solid, demonstrable understanding of US GAAP and State/Federal tax laws.
• Ownership of the GL, AP and AR functions, including leading a sub-team of two accounting personnel.
• Ownership of the month-end preparation and closing process, including all required journal entries.
• Maintain cost accounting accuracy, investigate variances and take corrective action.
• Ownership of the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, CWIP tracking and physical inventory.
• Lead the physical inventory/cycle counting process and ensure inventory sub-ledger accuracy.
• SOX compliance SPA - liaison with internal and external audit.
• Filing of monthly, quarterly and annual government returns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $120,000 - 130, 000 + Bonus

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or similar discipline, or a Certified/Chartered accountancy qualification.

• 3 years in a finance/accounting manufacturing environment.
• 7 years in a finance/accounting environment in total.
• Intermediate Excel skills but able to learn quickly.
• Working knowledge of using a large ERP system.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Supervisory or management experience of a small team.
• 5 years in a finance/accounting manufacturing environment.
• 10 years in a finance/accounting environment in total.
• Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of SQL programming.
• Prior Infor Syteline usage would be an advantage.
