The Senior Revenue Accountant will work hand in hand with multiple teams within our organization (Finance, Sales Operations, Legal) to drive the full revenue accounting process (reading and analyzing contracts, month-end close, reconciliations, and other ad hoc projects). This role has the opportunity to build out new processes related to recent system implementations while collaborating with all levels of the organization. We are looking for someone who enjoys creative problem-solving and can work autonomously in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You will:

  • Operate as an owner in the preparation and upload of journal entries for the month-end close process to ensure the accuracy of revenue and compliance with ASC 606
  • Perform monthly reconciliations and flux analysis for accounts, as assigned, for month/quarter and year-end close processes
  • Review customer contracts to ensure billing and revenue accounting complies with company policies and ASC 606
  • Prepare revenue accounting deliverables related to planning, interim, and year-end audit process
  • Assist with drafting and execution of revenue accounting policies
  • Support the implementation of new processes and controls around revenue recognition
  • Ad hoc account analysis and technical accounting research as needed to support the revenue accounting team. Document new technical accounting positions in memos and corroborate with supporting data studies
  • Assist with integrating revenue workflows of new products and acquired entities
  • Identify and participate in the improvement of current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity
  • Assist in testing and implementation of ERP (Netsuite)

What you will bring to the table:

  • 3+ years experience in revenue accounting and exposure to ASC 606
  • Experience in public account and/ or hyper-growth companies
  • Agility! You are eager to work in a hyper-growth environment where needs evolve and are done better than perfect, but you also always strive to improve and grow.
  • Excited about the ambiguity of an entrepreneurial, rapidly growing company, and able to juggle multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Familiarity with system implementations and data migration
  • BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Desire to build out accounting operations in a fast-paced growing company
  • Ability to operate as an owner and to enhance the efficiency of processes owned
  • Ability to make daily decisions based on relevant accounting experience

Bonus points if:

  • Experience with systems such as Salesforce, billing systems, Lawson, and NetSuite (or similar ERP)
  • CPA

Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. The estimated salary range for this role is $90,000 - $113,000.
