We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Mid-level Geologist for our Sacramento, CA office.

What you will do:

The Mid-level Geologist will support project level quality assurance and quality control activities. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Provide mentorship, training, and review of planning documents, field activities, data generation, and reports for existing investigation, monitoring, and remediation work.
• Prepare and review planning documents, field documentation, analytical data, and reports for content, applicability, and accuracy.
• coordinate with project team members and subcontractors (e.g., laboratories and data validation firms) to implement project quality control and meet project requirements.
• Identify and document nonconformances.
• Work with team members to develop corrective actions and verify that corrective actions resolve the issues and/or prevent reoccurrences.

What you will need:

• B.S. degree in geology, environmental science, chemistry or related scientific field.
• 4 - 8 years of related experience.
• Strong technical writing skills are required.
• Experience with assessment of analytical data and preparation of technical reports.
• Multimedia field sampling experience including soil, sediment, surface water, groundwater, and air.
• Willingness to work cooperatively and mentor junior staff.
• Ability to develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting.
• EPA experience strongly preferred.

Anticipated salary range of $80,000 to $110,000 per year.
