Required Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in optometry issued by an accredited school / college of optometry
• Residency or Fellowship training
• A minimum of 7 years of experience as an optometrist
• Advanced knowledge and skills of optometry essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to this position
• Advanced knowledge associated with diagnosing eye diseases and varying eye conditions
• Must be able to communicate complex findings of examination to patients in a clear and concise manner
• Requires advanced communication and presentation skills
• Position must be able to work with diverse client group
• Skills to provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff member
• Must be able to work in a highly collaborative manner with staff, faculty, and members of the health care community across the campus.
