* Parker Meggitt Fluid Systems Division - North Hollywood, California site was established in 1947 and acquired by Meggitt in 1999. In 2019 the facility was designated as Meggitt's Machining Center of Excellence with state-of-the-art multi-axis milling, turning, and additive layer manufacturing equipment.

* Parker Meggitt Fluid Systems Division - North Hollywood, California manufacturing features an upgraded 110k square foot, world-class manufacturing, and testing facility. The facility has been designated as a Machining Center of Excellence within the Parker Meggitt group with recent additions of state-of-the-art multi-axis milling, turning, and additive layer manufacturing equipment. We also have testing capabilities for fluid and pneumatic valves that can duplicate the high temperatures, pressures, and flow rates of modern aircraft systems. With our in-house design and development capabilities and with our growing product portfolio we are in a leadership position for the next generation of high-performance aircraft engines and airframes.

* Parker Meggitt Fluid Systems Division - North Hollywood, California facility designs and manufactures valves and controls that regulate the flow of air and fluids under pressure and high temperatures. Its pneumatic and fluid control lines include fuel, mixing, and starter valves, air-oil separators, and solenoid valves, used in commercial and military aircraft and aero engines. Industrial offerings provide fuel and bleed-air control valves and ground fueling products for power generation and mechanical drives.

Position Summary:

* The role supports the North Hollywood site of the Fluid Systems Division within the Parker Aerospace Group.

* This position generally reports to the site Business Unit Manager or another position within a division.

* The role ensures that trade transactions are undertaken in compliance with export laws, regulations and controls administered by government agencies as appropriate to the business location.

Acts as liaison between Division Export Administrators, Corporate Compliance, Global Trade Compliance Program Management, Engineering, Business Development, Supply Chain, IT and other functional disciplines to provide analysis, interpretive guidance, and training in support of export compliance.

* Provides day-to-day management for export and import compliance/operational issues; interacts with customs agencies to resolve regulatory and transactional questions involving export issues; reports suspected shortfalls in compliance and works on internal investigations as requested.

* Plans, develops, recommends, and implements training, procedures, and systems to be used for export compliance.

Education: Bachelor's degree is required

Experience: 8+ years of experience in trade compliance

Travel requirement: 5% annually

Skills:

* Advanced knowledge of trade compliance, such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and US Customs and Border Protection Regulations

* Ability to investigate and resolve compliance potential issues and to respond to questions from internal or customer and government regulatory agencies.

* Strong interpersonal skills to manage diverse needs of various disciplines with competing priorities.

* Ability to manage and strategically integrate regulatory requirements into business processes to maximize outcomes.

* Applies knowledge and understanding of the regulatory definitions of technical data and technology and their application at the site, division, and group level.

* Ability to determine license requirements and develop, track, and submit requests for authorizations.

* Applies understanding of the international marketplace to business development activities.

* Ability to direct resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems while applying advanced analytical thought and judgment.

WORK AUTHORIZATION: This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. * 120.15 is required. U.S. Citizenship/Permanent Resident is required for most positions.

**Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $97K-$161K.
