Solvere Technical has an immediate need for an onsite NIAPS Fleet Support Systems Analyst based in San Diego County CA. with some travel expected - 30% CONUS and OCONUS.

MUST reside in San Diego County

MUST have an IAT II certification.

Job Description

  • Conduct software installations of Navy Information Application Product Suite (NIAPS) on shipboard systems.
  • Communicate with the NIAPS Fleet Support Team Lead any changes in procedures based on field assessments.
  • Conduct web-based software installations of NIAPS.
  • Conduct NIAPS software installation on fleet units, sometimes requiring travel.
  • Troubleshoot systems and networking issues as necessary, providing daily status reports.
  • Assist with shipboard IT technical data systems both shipboard as well as ashore site.
  • Monitor Helpdesk email and providing support in a professional manner.

Job Qualifications

  • MUST be a US Citizen.
  • Must have an Active IAT II
  • Must have an active CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification.
  • Security clearance is desired or ability to acquire one asap.
  • Must reside in San Diego County.
  • Must have a BA in Computer Science or a related scientific, engineering or information management field and at least 5 years of related experience OR High School diploma and at least 9 years of experience with military or technical IT related training/certification courses.
  • Must have a Windows 10 or Windows 11 certification or equivalent.
  • Must have a Windows Server 2016 certification or equivalent.
  • Must be familiar with shipboard IT technical data systems both shipboard as well as ashore site.
  • Must have experience monitoring Helpdesk email and providing support in a professional manner.
  • Must have excellent technical writing, reporting and communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • NIAPS System Administrator experience.
  • Experience working with shipboard IT staff.
  • Experience with Virtual systems.

Security Requirements

  • Must have an Active DOD Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain one.

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel- 30% CONUS and OCONUS
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work onboard US Navy ships.
  • Subject to outside environmental conditions (extreme cold/heat), subject to noise, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions (affect the respiratory system).
  • Frequently work in close quarters and/or function in narrow aisles or passageways (areas that could cause claustrophobia).
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Salary Range:

  • $85,000 USD - $115,000 USD. However, Solvere considers factors such as (but not limited to) the following when determining base pay: scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's related work experience, education/training/certifications, key skills, internal peer equity/external market competitiveness, as well as other business considerations.
