Job Description

Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse

Reports To: Mobile Health Manager/Supervisor

Status: Non -Exempt, Part-time

Job Reporting Location: Riverside,CA

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position provides support to the clinical function of the operation and administers exceptional patient care in the field setting within the scope of established state, county, and organizational guidelines. This is a full-time position to assist with COVID-19 testing, Riverside County contractual obligations and pre-employment testing

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, businesses, and office operations
  • For adult and pediatric patients: obtain vital signs, record medical history,
  • Perform COVID-19 swab testing
  • Monitor evacuees at designated evacuation sites
  • Draw blood and assist with various skills (phlebotomy certification required)
  • Perform laboratory work, injections, and vaccines
  • Administer and read tuberculin (TB) skin tests
  • Administer medications as directed by physician standing orders
  • Comply with legal regulations to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment for employees and patients
  • Monitor supplies and place inventory orders
  • Practice common safety precautions
  • Assist with referrals and prior authorizations
  • Maintain medical records
  • Oversee laboratory coding for insurance purposes
  • Maintain all laboratory logs and required checks
  • Communicate needs with nurse manager
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Licensing/Certification:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • California Drivers License
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice as a vocational nurse in the state of California
  • CPR certification
  • EKG certification (Optional)
  • Phlebotomy certification(Optional)
  • NCT certification highly preferred (Optional)

Experience:

  • Previous urgent care, emergency room, or medical office experience for 2 years as an LVN preferred

Salary Range: $26.00 - $29.65 DOE (This rate applies to 12 hour shift and average 42 per week)
