Job Description

Position Summary The AX Developer reports to the Manager, Retail Systems and works with other IT team members, business leaders, consultants, and end users in coordinating and developing solutions within Living Spaces' Dynamics AX ERP environment from concept through implementation and support. This role coordinates with internal personnel, external partners / consultants, provides leadership, and contributes directly in projects and support.

Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform in-house software development tasks that require excellent technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Responsible for all phases of the software development lifecycle (mainly in .NET and in Microsoft Dynamics AX) including: design and planning, development, unit testing, QA testing, installation, deployment, and support.
  • Understanding of technical and functional requirements
  • Creation of technical design documents
  • Development of requirements
  • Unit testing and QA testing
  • Installation and configuration
  • Support

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college in computer science systems engineering, or computer engineering or related field. 3+ years of significant practical and technical experience in a Microsoft development environment, AX 2009 preferable. Experience with a software product development environment. Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server. 2 years significant practical and technical experience in a Microsoft Dynamics AX environment (Morph-x and X++). 3+ years in a retail / distribution environment. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have strong knowledge of .NET (C#, XML, web services, etc.). Knowledge of SQL Server. Knowledge of C++, Java, or other object-oriented language. Experience with a software product development environment. Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server. Microsoft Certified Professional a plus. ERP system experience strongly desired. Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 / 2012 experience. Microsoft Dynamics AX .Net Business Connector experience.

Certificates and Licenses: MCP Level certification for Microsoft Dynamics AX

Position Hiring Range

The hiring pay range provides a guide for what we would reasonably pay for the position. Pay will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to: applicant's education, relevant work experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Living Spaces reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Pay is determined by various factors including market demand, applicable skills, work experience and education, location, company budget, and in-demand skill sets.

Compensation: $101,700.00 - $135,600.00

Retail, Guest Services, and Distribution Center Team Members are eligible to receive team bonus based on meeting specific goals and KPI's.
