Role Description

Form Energy is hiring a highly skilled supply chain professional to develop and execute the sourcing strategy for battery systems-level components to be used in Form's pioneering iron-air battery systems. This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Global Supply Management (GSM). As part of our GSM team, you will be involved in researching markets, identifying and engaging with suppliers, developing and executing sourcing strategies, and managing key supplier relationships in collaboration with key cross-functional teams. What you'll do:
  • Own the Systems-level component category, and build and maintain partnerships with our strategic suppliers to support our Gen 1 energy storage system scale-up; the Systems-level BOM includes electrical parts such as circuit breakers, load centers, sensors, and wiring etc, as well as mechanical components such as pumps, heaters, conduit, etc.

  • Act as the primary contact with suppliers on contract and pricing negotiations, development and production lead times, escalations and resolution

  • Drive commercial cost negotiations with suppliers based on cost-models and analyses of current market conditions to ensure Form receives best-in-class pricing

  • Monitor current market conditions and technology roadmaps to proactively identify and address any supply challenges and future-proof our sourcing strategy for the Systems category

  • Collaborate closely with Form's Leadership, Supply Chain, Engineering and Strategic Supply teams to define and drive execution of Form's Systems sourcing strategy

What you'll bring:
  • At least 4 years of strategic sourcing and/or category management experience in a fast-paced, highly fluid environment

  • Deep expertise managing procurement for bulk-purchased off-the-shelf and customized components for use in in battery systems or other similar products

  • Outstanding data evaluation and analysis skills

  • Excellent communication skills; experience presenting clear recommendations to leadership to drive strategic and operational decision making

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally approx. 30% of the time

  • Bachelors or Masters in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Electrical Engineering or similar discipline

Compensation Range: $108K - $167.7K
