Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Willdan is looking to hire a Project Manager to join their growing organization. You will be working directly with various business units to assist in optimizing the business process and driving change across Sales, Marketing, Operations and Service organizations. This position is responsible for the end-to-end planning, development, and implementation of medium to large-sized, moderate to highly complex energy projects. The role will require a high level of collaboration and interaction, strong technical skills, attention to detail and an ability to understand the business and the application of technology to achieve business goals. You will be reporting directly to the Director within the Energy Solutions group, and will contribute to best practices for implementation, training, and change management.

  • Partner with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Drive projects to successful conclusion within scope, budget, and schedule to ensure that the business value of the project is achieved.
  • Escalate issues and risks and proactively take ownership for resolution.
  • Track milestones and deliverables and provide regular status reporting to all levels of stakeholders (Executives, management, and project team members).
  • Drive the process and change management to achieve ROI and business value goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, sustainability, business, or similar field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams a plus.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience directly managing medium to large complexity projects using formal project management methodology.
  • Technical proficiency with energy technologies include energy efficiency, solar, storage, electrical vehicle charging, and building transportation, preferably with direct implementation experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Proven success managing projects in a matrix environment where influence without direct authority is required.
  • Focus on delivering results that achieve business outcomes and lasting relationships, not just following a project process.
  • Direct experience with business development and business strategy preferred, but not required.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
  • Experienced in technical requirements and facilitating discussions with various stakeholders.
  • Energetic, self-confident, and persuasive with all levels of audiences.
  • Able to adapt to a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.
