About The Opportunity

Position Summary:

In this position you will lead a mechanical maintenance crew responsible for keeping our facility safe, reliable, efficient and in compliance with our safety procedures. Maintenance Leads will also diagnose, troubleshoot, prevent, and repair site equipment (including, but not limited to) assembly line belted conveyors, cartoners, shrink wrappers, gluing systems, powered rollers and belted conveyors and other light industrial assembly equipment. Responsible for selection of the work, training, evaluation, motivation, and safety of the mechanical maintenance team.

Essential Functions:

  • Implement maintenance and engineering strategies to assure operational reliability consistent with the needs of the operational facility.
  • Accountable for key Maintenance performance metrics including work order completion and machine reliability.
  • Supports equipment feasibility studies and makes recommendations for investment; implements capital expenditure project and is accountable for payback expectations.
  • Supports operations leaders to develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
  • Assist in developing and executing site's preventative maintenance program.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional leaders to implement capital investment projects to drive operational excellence.
  • Assures all tasks are performed in a safe manner (LOTO procedures), and comply with all company, local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Interacts with key stakeholders to provide technical support and/or resolve equipment reliability issues.
  • Any additional tasks assigned by supervisors and/or management.
  • The anticipated hourly range for the position is $35.00 - $40.00, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for a success share bonus and benefits package.

Education/Certification

High school diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

Minimum of 5 years of electro/mechanical experience

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, environment, and site.
  • Day-to-day and strategic issues, operational requirements, and management of a manufacturing facility
  • Understanding of physical environment and full spectrum of activities for managing and maintaining physical facilities and infrastructure
  • Tools and techniques for preventing and addressing theft of assets, theft of information, vandalism, sabotage, and other threats to a manufacturing facility.
  • Electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing, including its safe usage, maintenance, and storage.
  • Technologies and applications used in manufacturing products and in the optimization of manufacturing processes.
