We are seeking aDesigner/Drafterwith threeor more years of experience to support the structural engineering department in our Encinooffice. The successful candidate will assist in creating drawings and project documents from information provided by engineers using various computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) platforms such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a desire to work and grow in a multidiscipline engineering office, and be willing to have fun.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Approximate Base Salary - $62,000 - $85,000 annually
• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
• Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance
• Hybrid Work Schedule(subject to change)
• 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution

• 3 or more years' experience in drafting and design.
• Experience with the latest release of AutoCAD and REVIT design tools.
• Possess computer skills necessary for daily activities including email, word processing, spreadsheets, BlueBeam, and graphics.
• Able to work with numerous project teams to help with project completion.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate may contribute to the success of the structural department in a variety of ways. A successful candidate need not possess all the experience and abilities listed below.

• Technical or associate degree in engineering or related sciences
• Experience in modeling buildings in REVIT and producing 2D structural details.
• Experience detailing steel, wood, concrete and masonry
• Experience coordinating with a multi-discipline design team
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, and AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

• Must be a self-starter, persistent, and follow through in a consistent manner
• Passionate about the client or pursuit and takes ownership of his/her work
• Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities)
• Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
• Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers
• Basic understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures and basic marketing principles
• Strong organizational ability; detail oriented; high degree of accuracy
• Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to provide peer reviews of colleagues' work product
• Ability to work with counterparts in other offices to share workload when required
