The salary range for this role is:

Responsibilities:

*An additional premium pay amount is available for this job if all skill qualifications are met.

• Plans layout of wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus.
• Do or direct all maintenance wiring, installation of motors, switches, switch panels, fuse boxes, lighting, testing, control and power circuits.
• Determine proper size and specifications of wire, conduit, switches, panels, and fuses, etc..
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, circuit diagrams, P&ID's, charts, sketches, and operating instructions and proceed accordingly.
• Able to inspect, diagnose and repair electric motors, switches, junction boxes, switch panels, circuit breakers, transformers, fuse panels, lighting, heating, control and power circuits. Be able to determine root cause and recommend or perform preventative repairs or corrections.
• Able to diagnose electrical control circuits utilizing PLC programming terminals, and other diagnostic tools.
• Full responsibility for the effective operation of electrical and electronic, hydraulic pneumatic instruments, gauges or controls used in the processing of the product.
• Install, adjust, maintain, repair and overhaul instruments and related equipment.
• Overhaul cannery instruments, controls and related instruments; recognize and correct potential instrument failures.
• Test, time and calibrate instruments and related equipment for efficient performance.
• Maintain performance and repair records; maintain parts stock and prepare requisitions or lists for parts, tools and supplies.
• Troubleshoot PLC system and modify PLC programs, as necessary.
• May repair and maintain other cannery equipment.
• All other duties or assignments assigned by the Foreman or Shift Supervisor

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
